Born in June 1931, graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1952, was promoted to professor in 1983, and was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in November 2001. Graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, majoring in electrical engineering. He has worked in the Beijing Institute of Electrical Science and Technology of the First Ministry of Machinery, and the Xi'an Institute of Microelectronics of the First Ministry of Machinery.
